Apple's Official App Accidentally Bundles Claude.md — Even Tech Giants Do Vibe Coding?
In its v5.13 Apple Support app update released on May 1, Apple accidentally bundled a project file called Claude.md, which was discovered and exposed by MacRumors analyst Aaron Perris. This project-level file is typically used to guide AI assistants in understanding project structure, build instructions, and development standards — effectively revealing that Apple internally uses Claude Code for app development. Apple urgently pulled the update within 24 hours, but screenshots had already spread online. Notably, a similar incident occurred previously when Claude Code's source code was leaked due to source map files accidentally bundled in releases, leading some to joke that Claude Code might be behind both incidents.
